Green Quilt Covers

There's a reason so many people describe their dream bedroom as a retreat. We're drawn to spaces that remind us of a garden, a forest walk or a weekend away somewhere leafy, and green is the most direct way to bring that feeling indoors. A green quilt cover takes up the largest surface in the room, so even one change of bedding can shift the whole mood from busy to restful.

Sage, Olive or Forest? A Shade Guide

Not all greens behave the same way, and knowing the family you're drawn to makes choosing much easier. Here's how the main shades in our range differ:

• Sage - A soft grey-green that sits quietly with white, oatmeal and pale timber.
• Olive - A warmer, yellow-leaning green, seen in our jersey cotton and crinkled velvet designs.
• Forest - A deep, rich green that looks tailored in 1000 thread count cotton and opulent in velvet.
• Moss and slate green - Earthy middle tones, from bold waffle checks to 1200 thread count Egyptian cotton.

If you can't decide, hold the product photos up against your wall paint or a cushion you already own. The shade that looks most at home there is usually the one you'll still love in a year.

Matching a Green Quilt Cover to Your Room's Light

Here in Australia, north-facing bedrooms catch the most sun, while south-facing rooms get softer, cooler light for much of the day. That light changes how a green quilt cover looks. In a bright, north-facing room, cool greens such as sage and sea green help balance the warmth, and they'll look fresh rather than faded.

In a south-facing or shady room, lean towards warmer greens like olive and moss, which hold their richness when the light is low. Deep forest green works almost anywhere, but it's especially striking against white walls, where the contrast gives the bed real presence.

Plains, Textures and Botanical Prints

For a pared-back look, choose a plain green quilt cover. Our Soho range comes in forest green and sage in 1000 thread count long-staple cotton, and the Bespoke 1200 thread count range adds slate green in Egyptian cotton. Jersey, velvet and bouclé bring a softer, more tactile take on the same idea.

Prefer pattern? You'll find waffle weaves and bold block checks, classic green gingham and textured cotton with tufted palm detailing. There are also plenty of floral and botanical prints on white, some with an asymmetrical layout that leaves a cleaner, mostly white area near the pillows.

Building a Bedroom Palette Around Green

Interior designers often use the colour wheel to build a room, and green has a natural partner directly opposite it in red. In a bedroom, that translates beautifully to soft pink or blush, and several of our botanical prints pair green leaves with pink flowers. A blush cushion on a sage green quilt cover set is an easy way to try it.

For something calmer, stay with neighbouring colours instead. Green sits between blue and yellow on the wheel, so navy cushions, a mustard throw or warm timber furniture all feel natural beside it. Repeat your chosen accent once or twice around the room and the look comes together.
