From the palest sky to the deepest ink, blue brings a sense of calm to the bedroom. Our blue quilt covers include soft duck egg, sky and stormy blue, relaxed denim and indigo, and tailored navy, in crisp cotton, waffle, velvet, gingham, checks and stripes. Every set comes with matching pillowcases for a finished look.
Think of the places that make you breathe out: a clear sky, a quiet bay, the horizon on a long drive. Blue is the colour of all of them, so it's no surprise so many people choose it for the bedroom. A blue quilt cover can feel breezy and coastal, crisp and nautical or deep and cocooning, depending on the shade and the fabric you choose.
Pale blues are made for rooms that you want to feel bigger and brighter. In design terms, cool, light colours tend to recede, which can make a small bedroom feel more open. Our light blue quilt cover options include soft blue seersucker and waffle, duck egg in a bamboo and linen blend, and sky blue cotton with tufted palm detail.
They're also a gentle way to introduce colour if you usually stick with white. Pair a soft blue cover with crisp white sheets, and the bed still reads fresh and light while feeling more relaxed and lived in.
Navy behaves almost like a neutral, grounding the room in the same way charcoal or black would, but with a warmer, friendlier edge. Our navy designs include smooth 1000 thread count Soho and Plaza cotton, 1200 thread count Egyptian cotton, and 400 thread count cotton sateen.
For contrast, choose an embroidered design, either white with navy detailing or navy with white. Navy gingham, a navy bouclé stripe and an indigo velvet corduroy check all bring texture to the darker end of the range.
Directly opposite blue on the colour wheel sits orange, which is why blue and rust or terracotta look so good together. The two complementary colours make each other appear richer. Try a rust cushion or throw against a denim or navy blue quilt cover set, or a terracotta pot on the bedside table.
If rust feels too bold, try mustard or soft yellow, which sits close to orange on the wheel and gives a gentler, sunnier contrast against navy. Or keep things simple with crisp white sheets and pale timber, which let even the deepest blue feel light.
Blue and white is a timeless pairing, and our patterned designs make the most of it. There are oversized slate and navy stripes, including one that reverses to a coordinating stripe, plus layered plaid checks in denim and teal, classic navy gingham and woven indigo multi-stripes.
Florals and paisley in soft blue and grey suit a classic or coastal room, while blue and white prints on a pale base keep a guest bedroom feeling bright. Most of these designs are made in queen, king and super king, with many also in double and a handful in single.
Your new cover set ships with Australia Post, and delivery is on us once your order reaches $99. Blues can look different on screen, so drop into our Melbourne stores to check them in natural light.
