A flat sheet is the layer that makes a bed feel properly made. Our flat sheets come in soft, stretchy cotton jersey and smooth 1000 thread count long-staple cotton, in queen and king sizes. Use one to replace a sheet from an existing set, add a contrast colour or create a crisp hotel-style turn-down.
Some people can't sleep without that top layer, and others never use one. If you're in the first group, you'll know the comfort of a smooth layer between you and the quilt, and the way it keeps the quilt cover fresher for longer. Buying flat sheets on their own also means you can replace one that's worn out, mix colours on the bed or add a layer to a fitted sheet you already love.
Sitting between you and your quilt, this layer takes most of the everyday wear and is quick to wash. That means the quilt cover stays cleaner between changes. On hot nights, many people kick the quilt off and sleep under the sheet alone, which makes it a handy layer through an Australian summer.
It also finishes the bed. Folded back over the top of the quilt cover, flat bed sheets create a neat band of colour across the bed, the same turn-down you'll see in a well-made hotel room. In the cooler months, the extra layer adds a little more warmth as well.
Our jersey flat cotton sheets are cut from soft jersey knit, the same fabric as our jersey fitted sheets. It drapes over the bed rather than sitting stiffly, and it has that relaxed, broken-in feel of your favourite T-shirt from the very first night.
Choose from grey, white, indigo navy, olive green, charcoal, linen, blush and sand. The queen size measures 255 x 260 cm and the king 285 x 260 cm. Pair one with a matching jersey fitted sheet for a full jersey bed, or use it to soften a crisp cotton fitted sheet underneath.
For a smooth, polished finish, our Soho sheets are woven from long-staple cotton at 1000 thread count. The longer fibres spin into a finer yarn, giving the fabric a refined drape and helping it resist surface pilling, so it keeps its good looks over time.
The queen size is 260 x 275 cm. If you're after cotton flat sheets in king size, the 285 x 275 cm king sheet leaves generous overhang for tucking in. Colours run from white, cream, linen and silver through to charcoal, black, blush, sage, forest green, mustard and rust.
Because each one is sold separately, you can build a bed that's entirely your own. Try white on top of a charcoal fitted sheet for a crisp contrast, or match sage with a sage quilt cover for a soft tonal look.
These Soho sheets also coordinate with the rest of the Soho range, including fitted sheets with a 50 cm wall and wide elastic, as well as pillowcases, so you can mix the pieces you need instead of buying a whole new set.
We ship with Australia Post, and orders over $99 travel free. Or browse every shade in person at our Melbourne stores.
